The first event on Susie Weadock's Bucket List, HANG GLIDING at Hangar 3 in Middletown, NY!! (http://www.hangar3.com)
Everyone had a blast, joining friends and family (some family had never met before!!) on a warm sunny day (that was sandwiched between two torrential downpours, thank god for great weather!) Susie had a great time, and was overwhelmed with the support of her family and friends!

What a day Grandy!!
ReplyDeleteI shared the day with many people you and I have shared countless Thanksgivings and Christmases with: my brother, mom and dad, Louise and kids, Uncle Mike, and even Meg, Molly and Jack from my mom's side. It was so great though, to share the day with others I do not see often-especially Uncle John, and to meet new family members.
I have to say that I think hang gliding is pretty mudane for for you! I've seen you jump off of cliffs, and raft through roaring rapids...but what an amazing way to take in a state where you lived many years.
Of course it was a standard Weadock gathering: lots of good food, a great event, and laughter and chatter all around.
I wish I could say that I was thrilled all day long, but I certainly shed more than a few tears remembering the reason we were all together.
I've been told many times via friends and acquaintances what an incredible person you are (clearly I know this already...) but I am in awe of how you are bringing this family together and bringing us all joy when we are facing a loss we knew was eventual but always hoped would never come.
I love you (and this family!) so much and I can't wait for our next adventure.
Deirdre Weadock.
That was an excellent video!! I sure wish that I could have attended. You were all in my thoughts though, and it really looked like a marvelous experience, enjoying life the way it should always be done.
