  1. I am proud to call this amazing woman MY mother-in-law, or more fondly "Mom". She was my maid of honor at our wedding and has been my number #1 fan since the day we met. Mom, you have been and continue to be such a huge blessing and inspiration in my life. I am sorry I couldn't be in NY for the 1st bucket event, but I am looking forward to the next one in Florida! God Bless you. Love, Chris Weadock

  2. The hang gliding weekend experience was indescribable!! Having all of Mom's kids there was really great, and having my kids and Louise's kids made it even more special. Mix in the Weeks Clan (thanks for coming all, it was really great to see you) and the family experience was clearly the strongest and most meaningful I can remember in my adult life. The friends that came and joined us added to the energy and enthusiasm of the whole weekend. The hang gliding was just an event. The weekend was THE experience. Mom was overwhelmed by the family, friends and experiences. She had a tough time finding the words to describe her feelings. I can understand. How do you describe what you have never experienced before? The overwhelming love and sense of family feeling combined with the never experienced before hang gliding and harley motor cycle rides and what do you get? One extremely happy, proud, humble and tired beautiful woman, what else!!! No wonder she slept most of the way home.

  4. My life with Grandy has been an interesting experience. From Africa and going on a gorge swing to hand gliding, I don’t know what she’ll do next. She’s an interesting, intelligent, adventurous woman with a big heart. She cares about her children, her grandchildren and basically the whole family. She always has a smile on her face, no matter what the situation is. This wonderful woman has been such an important person in my life, it will be sad to see her go.
Grandy has inspired me to jump from the highest of heights. She has inspired me to do the best that I can in school and out of school. Grandy has always supported me when I have needed the support and when no one else is there to support me. I remember when we were in Africa and everyone else did the gorge swing but me (and trust me if you had seen this thing…you would be able to see why I didn’t want to go on it). I was too afraid to go on and everyone was telling me to go on. My mother, of course, as always, calling me a “wieney” but Grandy was the only one telling me “if you don’t want to go then you don’t have to. Don’t let people force you into something that you don’t want to do”. I know it’s kind of cheesy but it’s something I keep in mind everyday. Grandy inspires me to sign and to write. That’s another thing that she has always supported me in, ever since I was little, she always inspired me to sing and eventually as I grew older I began writing my own songs which I still do to this day. Grandy has inspired me so much in my life.
Grandy has made such an impact on my life. She always smiles and no matter what the situation. That’s what I love about her, I don’t know if she knows this but some of the stuff that she has done has really not only made an impact on my life but on the lives of others. You talk to her, she will listen. You want her honest opinion; she will definitely give you her honest opinion. Her experiences, her stories, and her personality in general are all so amazing. I have learned a lot from her and I am very glad we are doing this bucket list with her.
Doing the bucket list with her has been such an amazing experience. It grew from just an idea to actuality and it’s been so amazing. Hand gliding was so much fun and I’m glad Grandy had a good time as well. I’m glad that everyone came out and supported her and our family. I’m glad that we have all decided to so this as a family and I’m glad that Grandy is doing it as well. In a way Grandy is going out in style and I’m happy to know that we’re spending our last moments with Grandy doing the craziest and most fun stuff with her. I’m glad to see her not doing chemo because to tell you the truth, I think it would’ve costed this family more pain then happiness. This bucket list is like bring grand and the whole family back to life again and I’m glad to see everyone so happy and closer then ever.
I’m going to miss Grandy so much. She means so much to me and I care about her a lot. For Christmas, some of our family goes down to Florida for vacation our last vacation there was an experience indeed. My mom decided to get us a gym trainer in Florida so that we could work out and have fun together. Well Grandy always walked into that gym and always walked up to that trainer and told him “I’m a swimmer”. That’s what I’m going to miss about her, the way she just went up to people and told it like it is. I will miss her smile, her personality, and all the things she needle pointed for us. It will be sad to see her go but at least we all know that she will be in a better place and that she left us doing what she loves to do and leaving us happy and closer as a family. Grandy has left a big imprint on all of our hearts and I think I speak for everyone when I say we’re going to miss you Grandy and we all love you dearly.
